You can maintain a safe, healthy learning enviroment by providing an enviroment that will prevent and reduce injuries. You can also promote good health while providing an enviroment that will prevent illness. In order to maintain a learning enviroment, you should provide space, materials and resources needed, and familiar routines as resources that will construct an interesting, enjoyable, and secure enviroment which will improve in play and learning.

I will maintain a safe, healthy learning environment by first using safety. Safety is an important thing when it comes to children. I need to provide a safe environment to prevent and reduce injuries for the children.
Making sure the children are having a healthy nutrition every day and providing an environment that contributes to the prevent of illnesses is also an important healthy environment I will provide.
Making sure that I have a healthy learning environment I will use big spaces and secure and enjoyment environments. I will provide relationships, materials, and routines as resources for constructing a interest. Also, I will encourage play, exploration and learning environment.

(NEW) In order to maintain a safe, healthy learning enviroment there are many things you should take into consideration. You should provide objects in which will prevent and reduce injuries. All electric outlets should have outlet covers, to prevent children from sticking their fingers in the outlet. You should provide lists of emergency contact numbers, as well as emergency procedure drills. To maintain a healthy enviroment, you should provide healthy meals and a clean facility. To maintain a learning enviroment, you should provide materials that encourage play, exploration, and learning through activities.

I would also promot good health and nutrition and provide and enviroment that contributes to prevent any illness. To provide a good learning enviroment i would use space, relationships, and routines as resources to constuct a interesting, secure snd enjoyable envvironment. For example here at Bulldog Preschool we provide a safe and healthy, learnng Environment by showing how when we are in side we use are walking feet instead of running so that we dont hurt ohters. We show the children healthy choices when it comes to choosing foods. During breakfast, snack, lunch we give each child the choose of what to drink either milk, orange juice or apple juice. When providing a good learning environment you should have lots of space so that they can play. Colors and numbes, letters so that they can get used to and recognize these also.

(New) In order for me to provide a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate environment I will need to do a number of things.
To provide a safe environment I will need to prevent and reduce injuries. One way to do this would be to use kid friendly furniture such as bean bags and low tables and chairs. Another way would be to have fire, tornado, and emergency exit strategies. You could also have emergency numbers for children's guardians and parents in a certain place.
To provide a healthy environment I will need to promote good health and nutrition by using healthy foods for breakfast, snack, and lunch and by correctly proportioning the food. I will also need to make sure the environment is kept clean in order to prevent sickness. I could also promote brushing teeth and other healthy habits by reading books and doing activities about them.
To provide a DAP environment I will use lesson plans and activities that are age appropriate to the children in the room. I will also do activities such as treasure hunts and sense tests in order to promote exploration, play, and learning. Children learn best by doing things and my classroom will be suited to that environment.

I will maintain a safe, healthy learning environment by first using safety. Safety is an important thing when it comes to children. For example, Everday at Bulldog Preschool we make sure the children wash their hands before they eat and after they eat to keep them from getting sick. We also have a wooden fence built around the preschool so, we don't have to worry about any of children getting out or running away while on recess. We also have a sanitize day periodically and when children have been sick we sanitize the classroom and bleach the children's toys that they have played with to make sure their is no bacteria. We also have a cleaning day periodically and during that time, we dust and clean behind book shelves and things of that manner. At Bulldog Preschool we provide a healthy balance of food. We have the alphabet letters on the walls so the children can see them everyday and we have singing books for the children to provide their color for that week and their shape. Also at Bulldog Preschool we have a number that thy learn for that whole week.
Making sure that the children are learning their shapes, colors and numbers is the job of the teacher and if I want to be a preschool teacher when I get out of college then this is something that I will have to learn. At Bulldog Preschool I believe that I have learned the qualifications of being that teacher. At Bulldog Preschool we always had colorful colors and a colorful bulletin board. This is an important thing to have in your classrom because if you have a dull room with no exciting colors or things in your classroom then you won't have the attention of the children and the children won't feel very excited about coming to the classroom everyday.

To establish a safe and healthy environment I would make sure that all the outside playground equipment had a soft padding under it such as mulch. I would also make sure that the equipment is in good shape. I would make sure that none of the toys had toxic paint of small parts on them so that the children would be safe. To teach the children safety I would teach all the children the drills that are needed to know in case of an emergency. I would have my first aid kit where it was easy to get to at any time and make sure that it went with us in a drill or real emergency. When a child gets hurt I will respond fast and with care to any injury that might happen while the child is under my care. For instance student A falls while they are playing outside I will ask them if they are ok and when they give me an answer then I will go from there. With a no answer ask the child if they need ice of a bandage and with a yes response then simply insure the child that it is safe for them to continue to go play. To keep my center safe in the winter I will make sure that the flu doesn’t slow us down. Student B gets sick and vomits while at my center I will clean every thing down with a bleach and water solution. That is how I would maintain a healthy and safe environment for the children at my center

There are many ways to maintain a safe, healthy, learning environment. To maintain a safe environment you can teach the children simple safety rules and enforce rules. You can also teach them to use the playground equipment safely. Plans and practice monthly fire drills for moving all children in care to safety as quickly and calmly as possible. To maintain a healthy environment you can provide good nutritious meals and snacks. Another way is by teaching the children to wash their hands correctly after using the toilet, help them to blow their nose and showing them how to brush their teeth. To maintain a good learning environment you can make lesson plans for the children to show them how to do their alphabet, numbers, and shapes. You can also provide easy accessible learning materials such as books, puzzles, crayons so that the children can explore themselves as well as putting some materials away for special times or for use at later stages of development.

To establish and maintain a safe, healthy, learning environment.

I would make sure that all play is safe do a check make sure at the pad is at the right length. Make sure the plug in have all the safety plugging. Make sure all the toy have been check for small parts they can swallowed also make sure at all medicine, cleaning products, and toxic plants. I like to make sure that all children are relaxed, and pleasant atmospheres reduce tension and stress that is why I like to keep it safe and healthy. This why I like helping children with toileting, eating exercising I like to keep the limits sugar, salt, processed food

I will establish and maintain a safe, healthy, learning environment first using safety to prevent and reduce injuries inside and outside of the classroom. I will do this by supervising all children’s activities indoor and outdoors, keep the inside of the center and the outdoors play area free of debris, making sure to maintain first aid supplies and ensuring the play equipment outdoors is safe for small children. I will make sure to promote good health by making sure play areas and materials are cleaned daily and help the children develop basic health habits. I will make sure the kids are eating healthy food with limits on sugar, salt, and processed foods. I will establish a mealtime routine that makes eating pleasant for each child. I will make sure the learning environment varies routines spontaneously to take advantage of unusual opportunities, organizes space into identifiable areas that encourage appropriate and independent use of materials.

There are many ways to establish and maintain a safe, healthy, learning environment. I have learn how to provide a safe environment by going to the Bulldog Preschool. You should make sure that all the pluge ins have a safety plug in it. Also all the clearning supplies up high where the childern can't reach them. For a healthy environment I have learn that the childern always have healthy food unless its a special occusion. To provent illness they should always wash there hands and always disinfect all the toys when there is a sickness going around so you can stop the sickness fast. Learning evironment you should never use worksheets for childern that is that age. The childern loves to color but they need more counting, matching, and fun play. If the kids don't want to play a game then you should never make them do something that they don't want to do. You should always tell the childern that they should try something else instead of saying no this is how you do it. This is how i feel about the first competency goals and functional areas.

I liked the way you used student A or student B instead of using the children’s names. If you would have used more examples it would have been better but that was really good.

To Ashley
This is good but you didn’t use complete sentences. I liked the part about checking the toys for small parts. Something you could have added to the health part would to be to talk about healthy meals and snacks.
