In order to advance physical and intellectual competence, you can do several things. To advance physical competence, you should provide the children with activities, a variety of equipment, as well as opportunities. In order to advance intellectual competence, you should encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem solving through activities. You should also support the children to understand, while stimulating the children to play with sound, rhythm, and language as a way to express creative abilities.
I will advance a physical and intellectual competence by having a varitey of equipment and activities and opportunities to proomote the physical development in children. To have a cognitive area you should have activities and opportunities that encourage curiosit ,exploration and problem sloving. Communication is very important for children so that they can understand, acquire, and use verbal and nonverbal means of commumicating thier thought and thier feelings to others.
In order for me to promote physical development I will need to provide a variety of equiptment, activites, and opportunities such as a period of time for outdoor play or even just an exercise activity. To promote intellectual development I will need to provide activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem solving that are suited to the intellectual level and learning style of the children I am teaching such as a treasure hunt or a blind folded sense test.
I will advance physical and intelluctual competence by using four things. The first thing is providing a variety of equipment for activites and such.Opportunities to promote the physical development of children will be provided. The second thing is using cognitive. I will provide encouragement for curisoity by providing activites and opportunities for the children. The third thing I will use is communication which is a important thing because you will never know how the child feels if you have no commuication. Opportunities for support for children to understand will be provided and I will actively communicate with children also. The children will have the chance to aquire and use verbal and nonverbal means of communicating thoughts and feelings. The fourth thing that will be an advancement for the children is creativeness. I will provide opportunites that will stimulate language, materials, children to play sounds and use rhythms. Children will have space and ideas in individual ways and to express their creative abilites.
NEW--I will advance a physical and intellectual competence by having a varitey of equipment and activities and opportunities to proomote the physical development in children. To have a cognitive area you should have activities and opportunities that encourage curiosit ,exploration and problem sloving. Communication is very important for children so that they can understand, acquire, and use verbal and nonverbal means of commumicating thier thought and thier feelings to others. Here at Bulldog Preschool we make sure that all are equipment and activites are approprite with the childs age. We make sure that all children have equal opporutnityto learn on all developmental levels and are able to learn also. We also communicate with all the children so that they will understand and be also to communicate back. Then they will be able to understand the meanings of words. When dealing with creative we have things that make sounds so they will know what makes that sound.
(NEW) In order to advance physical and intellectual competence, you can do several things. To advance physical competence, you should provide the children with physical activities: such as beanbag toss, a variety of equipment to play with such as slides, teeter totters, tricycles, and bouncy balls, as well as opportunities and chances to improve physical skills. In order to advance intellectual competence, you should encourage curiosity and wondering, exploration, and problem solving through activities, such as games. You should also support the children to learn and understand, while challenging the children to play with sound, rhythm, and language as a way to express creative abilities. An example would be for a child to play drums with plastic forks and plastic play bowls.
New: I will advance physical and intelluctual competence by using four things. The first thing is providing a variety of equipment for activites and such. At Bulldog Preschool we have different kinds of playground equipments from slides to tunnels. Also, thier are tricyles and hulla hoops, soft balls for sports, teeter todder and bounceroo balls. Opportunities to promote the physical development of children will be provided. The second thing is using cognitive. I will provide encouragement for curisoity by providing activites and opportunities for the children. Some examples, When I helped at Bulldog Preschool we always would ask questions for the children to burst their curisoity. Bulldog Preschool had songs and games that had the children explore. The third thing I will use is communication which is a important thing because you will never know how the child feels if you have no commuication. Opportunities for support for children to understand will be provided and I will actively communicate with children also. The children will have the chance to aquire and use verbal and nonverbal means of communicating thoughts and feelings. When the children at Bulldog Preschool wasn't feeling good or was crying and we didn't understand why then we would ask the children to tell us what was wrong. This communication is very important so that the teacher will know what is wrong and what to do about the situation. The fourth thing that will be an advancement for the children is creativeness. I will provide opportunites that will stimulate language, materials, children to play sounds and use rhythms. Children will have space and ideas in individual ways and to express their creative abilites. At Bulldog Preschool we have a big space for the children to play at in the center of the room. The children got to dance to songs to work on their motor skills and they has a dress up station so that could dress up in the career they want to be. A form of role play is what they used.
To advance physical and intellectual competence. I will have centers that challenge the physical as well as intellectual parts of the children’s development. We will have centers outside that will challenge children in there physical development and exercise their large and small motor skills. I will encourage the children to participate in the activities but I ill not force them to be a part. I will do my best to not exclude the children with disabilities. I will observe and see where the children’s physical development is at. The children that are behind I will work with them to catch up and those children that are ahead I will work with them to keep them interested while work for a higher goal. I will have centers that are inviting and fun that encourage the children to learn and have fun learning. My lesson plans will have things such as time, shape, colors, and numbers. The centers at my preschool will help those who are ahead and those that are behind. My centers will have everyday experiences such as, Student A their mom has a baby so I will bring in things that involve babies. Student B’s dad works as a doctor I might bring out the doctor coat for the kids and a book that talks about doctors.
I think communicates to children and their parents the importance of outdoor play and physical activity for healthy growth and development. We need to supports and encouragers, but never forces, children who are scared of physical activity. I think that we in to encourages learning of both languages through everyday experiences and activities. We would have a little fun learning the sing languages. We need to have books that includes of those from the children cultures for language, families and home living it will be a good development for them. We need to understand the child language abilities and uses activities that are appropriate to the child level of development in each language.
I will advance in physical and intellectual competence by using the following areas physical, cognitive, communication, and creativity. I will advance in the physical area by arranging and encouraging physical activities, knowing how children physical development affects their cognitive, social, and emotional development. I will observe and evaluate children’s developmental levels in order to provide activities for physical skills and development of the senses at the appropriate level of each child. I will also plan for and support childrens changing needs for active play, quiet activity and rest. I will support and in courage but never force children who are fearful of physical activity. I will advance in the cognitive and communication areas by first for the cognitive using techniques and activities that stimulate childrens curiosity, inventiveness, problem solving, and communication skills , using the center environment everyday activities and homemade materials to encourage childrens intellectual development, encouraging active learning, rather than emphasizing adult talking and childrens passive listening, and also ask questions that have more than the answer to encourage children to wonder, guess, and talk about their ideas. For communications I will make sure to have realistic expectations for each childs understanding and use of speech based on knowledge of language development and often have each child talk with individual children and stimulate conversation among children and with adults in the room. I will encourage children to take turn talking and listening instead of interrupting each other or adults and also listen attentively to children and help the children learn, understand and use words to express thoughts, ideas, questions, feelings and physical needs. I will advance in creativity by participating in make believe games with children; provide unconstructed materials such as blocks, paint or clay. I will provide crayon, paper, paste and scissors in a place where children can use them independently and also messy activities for children such as water and sand play and finger painting. I will encourage children to try new and different activities.
In order to promote physical development in my classroom I will need to provide a variety of equiptment, activities, and opportunities for my students. I could do this by providing outdoor equiptment, indoor exercising time, and a period of time each day to let off some energy and get some exercise. I could also plan outdoor nature walks and field trips that would allow them to exercise and also learn at the same time. In order for me to promote intellectual development I will need to provide activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem solving that is developmentally appropriate to the age group in my classroom. One way I could do this would be to have them do a sensory test. Have them touch, taste, smell, and listen to certain things with a blindfold on. I could promote exploration by having them go on a treasure hunt for a couple things. I could promote problem solving by having them do puzzles or things like that.
Kristin I think that you did very well and the only thing I think that you should have a tip on is using more of examples of how you have done these things but other that that, Really good
JessicaH I think yours is good and right to the point I also think that the only thing you should work on is using more of how you have used these things in your lifetime or here. Overall Really good.
Carolyn I think your is good but the only thing you need to work on is more examples of hwo the preschool has done that and how you have used that. Overall good.
There are several ways to advance physical and intellectual competence. The first one is physical. To provide a variety of equipments are growth is most dramatic during infancy and adolescence. They develop more physical abilities as in motor skills. Cognitive development, occurs as children learn to think, understand, reason, and use language. Communication means that you should always use positive words and never talk negative around the children. Children don’t want to do the same thing in the same way over and over again. They enjoy creative experiences, and they learn from them. Here are ways to advance physical and intellectual competence.
To Kristin: I like how you addressed every issue. When you talk about the Preschool having age appropriate equipment and activities, give more examples of those activities. To Brittany: Good job. I like how you were very descriptive and used plenty examples. To Carolyn: I like how you used several examples and gave details.
To advance physical and intellectual competence you can arrange and encourage physical development affects their cognitive, social, and emotional development. You can make plans and participate in appropriate large-muscle activities such as playing ball, running, climbing with the children both in and outdoors. Make plans for and support children’s changing needs for active play, quiet play, and rest. Avoid overprotecting children that has disabilities and support their independence by letting them join in games with the other children and let the parents to do the same and not overprotect them. You can use techniques and activities that stimulate children’s curiosity, inventiveness, problem-solving and communication skills. You can use center environment, everyday activities, and homemade materials to encourage children’s intellectual development. Encourage children to ask questions and help them seek the answer.
ange: That is a good way to keep the environment safe. Having the playing equipment in good condition is a good thing to do because you will never know what can happen to the kids if the equipment is not in good condition. You have a good idea of what you should do when a child is hurt or sick.
To Ashley in addition You need to make what you are meaning to say more clear. The idea of having books that talk about physical activity is a very good idea
